[FELICITY VONN]

Felicity sat alone at a table, eyeing the so-called veggie burger she had just ordered. It looked nothing like the picture and certainly nothing like what it should. She looked at it as if daring it to declare itself to be meat rather than anything else. Of course it was an inanimate object so it would do no such thing but she had no other way of knowing. Not really. What she needed was a person to help her out, one that actually ate meat. She sighed, knowing that her bandmates were off doing their own thing.

She picked up her drink and took a sip, wondering how best to fill the rest of her day. It was only 1pm so she could pretty much do anything... all she needed was someone to keep her company. Fliss hated having to do stuff alone it was so much more interesting when she had someone to talk to. She didn't want to have to talk to herself. People looked at her funny when that happened.

She must have looked funny actually, sat alone at a table with a questioning look on her face. Her outfit was pretty normal for a change which helped her blend in just a little. She wore purple tights along with a blue and white striped strapless dress. Fliss liked pretty colours but for an outing alone she had muted them just a little.

[DOUGIE CLEAVER!]

As Dougie Cleaver skated around the city of Chicago, he couldn't help but think of what his life had become; how he was on a tour with some of the biggest bands in the world. Flipping his hair out of his face, he smiled to himself, feeling the pride run through his veins before he heard his stomach rumble. Stopping his skateboard, he rubbed his stomach and looked around, realizing he had aimlessly skated into the food quarter. Grinning to himself, he skated into the nearest place, getting off his skateboard only to see someone he recognized. Smiling to himself, he walked over to the booth and took a seat across from her, "Hey, Fliss." he stated before seeing the plate in front of her, "I didn't know you eat meat?" he added before looking back up at her with a confused look on his face, "You told me your were a vegetarian."

Felicity looked up and grinned to see Dougie coming to sit with her. "Hey Dougie," she greeted him in her usual friendly way. It was nice to have company and even nicer since that company was Dougie. Truth be told she harboured a small crush on him. Ok she was pretty damn smitten but she thought she was able to hide it pretty well most of the time. She had the occasionaly slip up but she was only human after all.

When he mentioned the burger she rolled her eyes and pushed it towards him, "I asked for a veggie burger but clearly the guy was an idiot. Interested?" She wasn't hungry any more so she was more than happy just to let him have it. She'd lost her appetite at the thought of almost having eaten meat, something she had not done since she was twelve. Six years meat-free and still going.

"How've you been?" Fliss asked him with a small smile. She was glad they had become friends. He was such a fun guy to be around even if she was hiding a crush on him. Shh don't tell anyone...

[DOUGIE CLEAVER!]

When he saw Fliss smile, he couldn't help but find it contagious, a smiled forming on his face soon after. Running a hand through his hair, she listened to her explanation as to how the cook was, obviously, an idiot and had given her a meat burger when she, obviously, wanting a veggie burger. Shaking his head, he rejected the burger, seeing the waiter come up to them and ask how everything was, "Hey, uhm, not all that good, actually. The cook must have made a mistake. See, she wanted a veggie burger and they seemed to have given her one with meat in it." he explained, calmly, before the waiter apologized for his mistake and asked for Dougie's order. After ordering, he turned back to Fliss and smiled, "There we go." he stated before he finally answered her question, "I've been good, how about yourself, love?"

Fliss smiled at him, "I love how you fix all my problems" she joked light-heartedly. Her mood had gone from pleasant to rather happy which was always a plus. When the waiter returned with their orders she was heartened to see what was most certainly a veggie burger put down infront of her. She said her thanks to the waiter then returned her attention to Dougie. You see, she had a serious thing for accents and his was the nicest she'd ever heard. Not that she'd tell him as much though.

"I've been good thanks darlin', been getting severely teased by the band. They... erm.. found out a secret of mine." It's not the secret you think, actually. You see, Miss Vonn has a certain musical taste not shared by her friends...

[DOUGIE CLEAVER!]

Dougie was quite fond of Fliss; she always seemed to brighten his day, even when he was feeling like complete shit and didn't want to do anything; if Fliss called, then he would be up and ready to chill. As their orders came up, he smiled at her, "And don't worry about the he cheque, babe, I got it." he stated and took a bite out of his fry. He liked treating girls to things, especially if they deserved it, "What are they teasing you about?" he asked before she mentioned a secret, a smirk appearing on his face before he leaned forward, "A secret, what kind of secret?" he asked and raised an eyebrow at her. He wasn't going ot force her to tell him, he wasn't luike that, but that wasn't to say he wasn't curious.

Fliss smiled as he offered to pay. That was so like Dougie, he really was such a sweetheart. Maybe some day she would tell him that she liked him. Maybe. She just didn't want to ruin their friendship. It was too good to throw away on a chance of something more that might go horribly wrong and leave them unable to even look at each other. That would suck. She took a bite of her burger, chewing as she mulled over whether or not to tell him why they had been teasing her. She swallowed and decided he might as well know.

"They caught me listening to country music," Felicity chuckled. "They might not take the piss so much when they realise that's where my lyrics ideas come from.." She rolled her eyes. It really was stupid how amusing they found it. She was no less cool for it. More so in fact. Nothing made her feel more at peace than listening to country music and going for a little walk. "Don't judge," Fliss chuckled, awaiting his response.

Dougie had never been the type of person to judge people and make them feel as though they were any less of a person than anyone else was. When it came to Fliss, her found her to be more of a person than a lot of people he knew, in the sense that she was so funny, kind and just, basically, one of his favourite people to be around. Taking another fry, he popped it into his mouth, having the delicious tasted run down his throat before he heard her secret, "Country? I would have never guessed, love." he stated and smiled, genuinely at her, "I don't know why people would pick on you for that, though. Music is music, and it isn't like they are listening to it, so why should they care?" he asked, shrugging before he shook his head, "I don't judge, babe."

Fliss took another bite of her burger, glad that he wasn't laughing at her. It was good to know that someone out there was sweet enough to accept her for her weird musical tastes. "It's because I'm too nice to kick their asses for being mean," she chuckled before sipping her drink. There was something comfortable about talking to Dougie that she really did cherish. He was one of the few people in her life that she could turn to after having had a lousy day and be smiling again within a moment or two.

"Although if they carry on I'll pretend to be mad and move into your bus for a while," Felicity joked with a cheeky grin. That was actually kind of a fun idea. She liked hanging out with Dougie and if she played nice by baking her world famous cookies for the guys she was sure they wouldn't mind.

Dougie didn't doubt Fliss' reasoning behind her statement, saying that she was far too nice to tell the guy to fuck off and leave her alone for liking one sort of genre of music, "Well, just tell them that, if they pick on you, they'll have to deal with me, as well." he stated and nodded with confidence. He didn't like seeing others get picked on, especially someone as adorable as Felicity. Grabbing the ketchup bottle, he put some onto his plate before dipping a couple of his fries into it and taking a bite. After he swallowed, he smiled at her, "So, how has the tour been for you, thus far?" he asked, wanting to know how her band has been doing.

Chuckling at her next statement, he shrugged, "If you don't mind the smell of dirty clothes and there being a mess everywhere...all of the time." he explained to her before he flipped his bangs out of his face, "But, seriously, you're welcome whenever you like; you can even share my bed, if you don't mind." he teased.

Fliss couldn't help but smile at his offer to make them stop it. He seemed to be becoming her knight in shining armour more and more each day. Of course she wasn't going to tell him as much but still. When he asked her how the tour was going for her, her eyes lit up. "It's been great! The crowd seemed to love us last night!" Yeah, that's right, she'd been on stage the previous night and had still managed to be up at the crack of dawn that morning.

"How's it going for you?" Fliss asked, observing him with a small smile. She hoped he was having as much fun on tour as she was. Even more so really. It must have been weird for him coming all the way here for the tour. It was pretty cool that they both had the opportunity though. She still couldn't see how it had happened but it was pretty damn awesome.

Felicity laughed, "I can deal with the mess, I've got four brothers." There's a piece of information not many people know. Her home life is a bit hush hush. She loves her brothers dearly but nobody who sees her with them would think they were related. You see, Fliss was adopted by the family when she was five after both her birth parents died in a car accident. Her family is blonde whilst she has dark hair and dark eyes. "Although if you snore we might have problems."

She found herself blushing a little when he teased about them sharing his bed. Managing to pull herself together enough to speak she said, "I'm sure I could live with that" A grin curved upon her lips without her realising.

[DOUGIE CLEAVER!]

Hearing her positive exclamation as to how the tour had been going for her band, he smiled brightly at her, "That's awesome!" he stated, truthfully, before he took another bite of his fry, "I wish I could have seen you guys." he added before leaning back in the booth, his arms folding over his chest. When she asked how their experience had been, he smiled again, showing her that they were having the time of their lives, "It was great. I mean, the fan base is smaller here than in England, but the fans are crazy!" he explained before chuckling, softly and adjusting himself to be sitting up straight.

When he had offered his bus to her, he was glad that she was actually contemplating it, "Glad to hear it." he stated and grinned a bit. When she mentioned snoring, he chuckled and shrugged, "I know I don't snore, the other guys...it may be a problem." he stated before taking a sip of his drink. When he saw the flustering red on her cheeks, he could tell his last statement was what caused it, "Cool, I'd then have a teddybear to cuddle with, at night." he teased.
